Connecting students, researchers, and industry professionals in industrial and applied mathematics across Queensland, Australia.
QANZIAM is the Queensland branch of ANZIAM (Australian and New Zealand Industrial and Applied Mathematics), a division of the Australian Mathematical Society.
We have a special focus on supporting HDR students. We bring students together with academics and industry practitioners who share a passion for applying mathematics to real-world problems. From fluid dynamics to data science, mathematical biology to operations research, our members work across the full spectrum of applied mathematics.
Our rules and formal documents →Our network relies on students and ECRs who champion QANZIAM at their home institution — promoting events, welcoming new students, and connecting them with opportunities, workshops, and seminars. Get in touch with your campus ambassador to propose new workshop and seminar ideas and find out what's happening near you.
